How to attach scabbard to bike

Installing the Scabbard takes about 30 seconds after you understand what you have to do to get it on the bike. If you do not have a “quick release”  I would suggest that you purchase one for your bike.

Let us get started:

#1 loosen your quick release and unscrew the axle nut ,  So the bottom of the scabbard bracket will fit easily into the slot as shown on this picture.

#2Tighten down so it is somewhat snug, but not as tight as it will be when we finish.

#3Now we will attach the top of the scabbard to the bike rack.

#4Loosen the wing nut so the bracket fits loosely on the back and will slip easily on to the bike rack.

#5Get it back as far you can and then tighten it.w will go back down to the lower axle and re-tighten the axle making sure your wheel is alined, close Quick release, and that is it,your on your way:)

Your bow is placed in the scabbard “Upside Down and Backwards!”

Safety Note: Make sure bow and scabbard are secured properly- DO NOT forget to close quick release and Velcro grip securely to scabbard. NEVER carry loaded fire arm while riding!!!

  1. I’m seriously thinking of purchasing a right handed scabbard for my mountain bike to haul my bow. When you package and ship, does that include any instructions with pictures? I’m a very visual oriented person and pictures always help me when I have to assemble things.

    1. I just ordered mine and love it. It was as easy to install as was described. It may take a few minutes to figure it out but once you do, it takes 30 seconds to take off or put on.
